On the application form you must list ten arias/songs you are prepared to sing at the auditions. The list should include:
· Eight opera arias
· One lied, chanson or other similar non-operatic song (in a language of your choice);
· One song from a complementary genre, for example music theatre, jazz or pop.
AUDITION PROGRAMME
DAYS 1 & 2 – first auditions (about 100 candidates)
You will be asked to present one opera aria from your list. After the second day of auditions the jury will meet to decide which candidates will be invited to return for further audition.
DAY 3 – second auditions (about 45 candidates)
You will once again be asked to present an opera aria from your list; the jury may ask to hear a further item from your list. After the third day of auditions the jury will meet to decide which candidates will be invited to return for the final two days.
DAY 4 – music theory, movement and drama tests (up to 30 candidates)
You will be tested in music theory, movement and drama.

· You will receive information about the movement test at the time; you do not need to make any special preparation for this test;
· For the drama test you must prepare in advance a short scene from a play or present a dramatic recitation of a poem of your choice (approximately 3 minutes). You may use your native language.
· After the drama test there will be a brief interview.
DAY 5 – final auditions (up to 30 candidates)
You will be asked to present another aria from your list. The jury will then ask to hear further arias/songs from your list and/or ask you to work with one of the coaches from the school (in front of the jury).
After the final auditions the jury will meet. About 10 students are accepted each year.
